Hey X? I'm at the site.

Receiving you clearly, Doctor.
Good, the transceiver's fixed. We should probably get this suit replaced.

Yeah, you're not wrong. Hopefully we can send a new one down this week. The equipment grant hasn't come through yet.
Great.

But hey, let's be excited for a second! Isn't this, like, a dream come true?
Honestly, it kinda is. We've got the contract, the UNF is actually paying for our research - everyone's hard work is paying off.

The drag-miners can't touch that seabed, but now we can - and we'll be kinder. I think we're doing this planet some real good.
I better get to it, see if my kit still works.

We're all down there with you mate. Xerxes out.

Okay. Time to find out what's down here.

Traverse the murky depths of the seafloor as a scientist, gathering samples in the treacherous and uncharted terrain of a deep sea trench.

In this short VR demo, get ready to:

  • Explore procedurally-generated environments filled with natural hazards and unexpected artifacts.
  • Use your physics-based equipment to manipulate your environment, and carefully handle valuable minerals resting at the bottom of the sea.
  • Become immersed in a subtle but rich sci-fi setting, filled with tension and, perhaps, hidden mystery...

This demo was the product of a one-week-demo challenge.

This world has much more to offer, so please let me know if you are interested in seeing more! Further content could include:

  • More procedural map options
  • Deep-sea creatures, both friendly and fearsome
  • Extra game mechanics, within the seabase and beyond
  • A developing story surrounding the mysterious UNF
  • Voice-acted narrative dialogue.

All assets in this experience are non-copyright, content friendly!

Made in the Unity Engine.

An interesting start.

Controls are straight forward.

You don't get to do much in the demo other than collect rocks however.

There does not seem to be a goal yet and the nothing tells you the value of each rock before you collect it.

I found the movement frustrating as it was slow (although probably accurate at those depths).

It will be nice to see where this goes...

Thank you for your support and feedback, it’s much appreciated! Specific notes like this are invaluable, and I’m glad you’re intrigued to see more.
