Yeehaw! Version 6 Out Now (and a story)


Hey folks, a nice big update for the rulebook is available as of this evening.

The repertoire of class Advances, which players gain throughout the game, has been expanded for all seven classes. This includes some late-game High Advances, designed to unlock the most powerful form of your character, offering them absolution, transformation and more. 

A number of new Mech Advances have also been added, as well as a range of new Fallout. This update focuses especially on Soul Fallout, the consequences of interacting with tainted gold and exploring the strange new abilities that are igniting within you.

As always, formatting and art inches ever towards perfection with each update, so expect all sorts of changes and tweaks. Thanks!

Playtest News & Wisdom

I had the pleasure of running a Playtest of this game with a number of excellent and generous people. The system held together nicely, though some key points and feedback arose from the sessions. 
Firstly, tell your players to not fear taking Stress. Unlike losing HP, high Stress can only make the story more interesting, so push your luck!
As a GM, I found it best to count Stress as an overall total, rather than counting individual types, when rolling for fallout. Though rather punishing, this method made Minor Fallout more frequent and thus avoided the lucky players only ever suffering gigantic Major Fallout. The rulebook already details the rules as such, but as a fairly new GM I managed to forget what I had written. Oops!
