The eighth version of the Fool's Gold rulebook is now available! I've not had to write eighth for a while, that's a weird word. 

There is NEW ART! The changes are subtle, but I am very happy with the new versions of the class portraits.

Some of the classes have had some noteworthy tweaks, with changes to core abilities, along with new advances. The new core abilities are designed to add more variety to class builds, offering a number of different routes that flesh out your character and unlock special skills.

The Mech Upgrades library has been extended somewhat, and the rules updated.

These additions and changes, along with a host of other small updates, would not have happened without the help of my playtesters, for whom I am incredibly grateful. The truth is this version has been delayed as I have been too busy running the game!

Fool's Gold can't just be a good game in theory; interesting rules do not always guarantee fun. Some crucial insights have been made as my groups explore the world and its mechanics - and as a plan does not survive contact with the enemy, untested rule systems do not survive contact with the party unchanged. That said, I am regularly overjoyed to hear that people are enthusiastic about playing the game again.
